Jason Taylor Works to Fix Gas Leaks

Jason was featured on WGBH in a story about reducing natural gas leaks. According to the story, there are an estimated 16,000 gas leaks around Massachusetts that do not present a life-safety hazard, but that do spew methane, a potent greenhouse gas, into the air.

Jason, who is also a board member of the non-profit group HEET (Home Energy Efficiency Team), has been at the forefront of efforts to publicize the extent of this problem, and has taken a leadership role in developing a parternship between environmental activists and the utilities to identify and fix the "super emitters"—i.e., the 7% of the leaks that are responsible for over half the emissions.
