BuildingEnergy Bottom Lines

BuildingEnergy Bottom Lines is a peer-review business network initiated by the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA). Founded in 2014 by Paul, along with Jamie Wolf and John Abrams, two other long-standing NESEA members, Building Energy Bottom Lines (BEBL) is designed to help member businesses build stronger organizations through Triple Bottom Line (TBL) practice, a way of thinking and operating that assigns equal weight to “People, Planet, and Profits.” Regional peer group networks will meet several time a year and—with support from an experienced facilitator—help each other build organizational capacity.

Regional groups of about ten companies gather for two-day sessions several times each year to evaluate the host company’s management practices. Members of the individual groups have an opportunity to come together for an annual summit as well as workshops and trainings on special topics.

Paul serves on the BEBL steering committee and facilitates the “Plan Bygg” peer group. Matt Jancek has taken a leadership role in developing training sessions geared towards lead carpenters and project managers.
