This Back Bay family wanted to transform their private backyard patio into a space that blends the ease of living in the city with the beauty of a well-maintained landscape. To accomplish this, we decided to start from scratch and install a new bluestone patio floor, two beautiful stone walls each with its own plantings, a new stairway into the home to match the walls, and an elegantly framed door leading out into Boston's Beacon Hill. The family can now enjoy relaxing outside in a new outdoor space without sacrificing their urban location, proving you really don't have to be in the suburbs to have your own private landscape retreat.
