When opportunity presents itself, take advantage.

When this Wellesley family decided to upgrade their two-car garage into a three-car garage, the homeowners also had an opportunity to increase their living space. By expanding the basement level of the home to allow for the additional car, we were able to provide a layout that offered the homeowners a large sunroom overlooking their newly landscaped backyard. Slate floors, wood ceiling beams, crown molding, and exposed brick in the new hallway leading into the existing home create a conservatory feel. The sunroom faces south and is flanked by oversized windows in each direction, which allows sunlight to stream through and provides a naturally serene space that is perfect for relaxing or entertaining. In addition to the interior living space, we also transformed the backyard by adding a new patio area. The sunroom transitions into the new patio area through two new French doors allowing for a little piece of Europe in New England.
